my car's automatic (unfortunately, i know) and when i go from Park to Reverse, i have to use a lot of force, and same thing from Reverse to Neutral. i had something replaced a while ago that temporarily fixed it and now its happening again, a lot worse. i was told its the cable.

if anyone knows if thats right, wrong, etc. or can lead me in the right direction as to if i can fix this myself or if i need a shop to do it.

It is most likely the cable, had a similar issue.

 

do you know anything about replacing the cable or a diy anywhere?
i cant seem to find one
