I wasted money on rims. It made my car look goo dbut slowed it down. I am glad to have sold them and sold that damn car. (94 civic lx 4 door) it is GONE!!!!! thank god

Well three years ago I bought 18" tantrums and Nitto NT450's for like $1500. I was stoked at the difference in ride but I never got a chance to ride in a real racecar/autoxdemon. So after one ride in an instructors all-out autox/OneLapOfAmerica Turbo Neon, I was sold on the "lighter is better" setup and I went out and bought Rotas and AO32R's, then sold my Tantrums for a loss.
Motor wise, here's the deal- $450 Apexi GT header on my GSR motor, $135 true ceramic coating on that beautiful header, $450 Apexi N1 catback, $100 tetspipe, $500 ITR cams, all on a prettymuch stock GSR. So that was $1600+ and my car felt better but was by no means a monster. Afterwards I wished I had bought a JDM 4-1, ported/rewelded it myself, d.i.y. 2.5" piping straight back to an N1 muffler, so I could have spent the rest of the money on big skunk2/Toda/Jun CAMS/valvetrain instead!

Altezzas...I know I know. I thought they were cool when they first came out 3 year ago.

Lets see, my Chrome(boy was I stupid) 17 inch TSW trophies, my 17 inch TSW vx-1's (looked sweet), not buying 17inch Racing Hart C2's, Autometer gauges (oil pressure, water temp) replaced them with 60mm greddy units and last but not least anything on my original B18A.

uhhmmm...I've never bought anything pointless for my car. least effective thing i've ever bought for my car - $20 brake pads from trak auto. i think i could stick my foot out the door and use my foot to make my car stop faster

Ohh I bought a cheapo carbon fiber muffler from SpeedPeople.com. What was I thinking? $180 for that and then had to get custom piping, a cat, and it ended up costing me what i would have paid for a nice catback.

My g/f bought this weird sunroof guard for my car when she got my tint done. She says it looks good. I say i wish i could find the solvent to the glue the used to put it on.

Thermal R&D cat-back, waste of my money and time

The mid-pipe craked do to poor design and fabrication issues, got pulled over for loud muffler and warned, Thermal sent me a new mid-pipe, installed mid-pipe, got pulled over and ticketed for loud muffler, bought Apex-i WS exhaust, cut apart old mid-pipe, found that the core material burnt out, sent rear section to Thermal for density testing, was sent a new rear section, called for test results, denied results and lied to, hung up on by customer service manager, went to court, she blamed me for the hang-up??, still using WS exhaust without problems, will never buy another T R&D producty again.

Second the UR underdrive puleys. Actually a very good upgrade. But broke my car. I got alot more then 1 HP with it. I miss the low end torque it gave me.
High flow cat. Clogged very quickly for some reason.

Skyline bumper. I don't know what I was thinking. I was temporarly on crack. Had it on for a day and put the original bumper back on. $300 for a day dam.

WEB regrind cam.:Sure it made 8hp but it almost fucked up my engine completely

Underdrive pulleys...$200 for 1 hp. They did make the revs rise and fall quicker, but not $200 quick enough you know?

I hear that. I'm going to have like 16K "invested" in my car when its all said and done.Biggest waste of money was Z3 fenders from Asylumn. Total garbage, wouldnt even fit on the car.
