traction control isnt legal.
there is 2 ways to do it. a time over rpm rev limiter like the msd 75611, or having enough knowlege about where what when how much, timing abd boost to use at a given time.
i am still learning. but there is no traction control (that i am aware of)
i tried the msd 75611 box (and it is for sale) but my car didnt like the way it acted.

Until tech starts looking at calibrations, which they are not going to do, people will use traction controlling methods. It may not be "traction control", but it sure performs like it. lol

When you make assumptions, you make an *** out of you and umption. There are racers using boost and timing to control power from the line and down the track, and there are racers using "traction control" setups. Watch enough cars leaving at the line, you can learn alot and actually have knowledge of what you say.
you couldnt have said it any better, they act like you can go in aem or metec click the traction control buttom and you will run 8s
Im realy confused now, what are you guys recomended to do to make

i just want to be right.
alo are people using a 5th wheel for anything other than datalogging? are they using it as an input?
i never said that a tuner that knows his stuff, couldnt "sandbag" the car to get it to accelerate.
where are traction control devices such as the davis setup allowed? or am i in fact mistaken?

thats about as basic an explanation as it gets but it really is that simple. put in as much power as the tires will allow at any point in time down the track. the person tuning the car has to be able to tell when the car will benefit from more or less power at a certain point during the run. so you could say the guy on the computer is the traction control system lol

an 8 second nitto1320 car does not count buddy (maybe that's where the traction control button comes into play??)
