hey just wondering what kind of suspension everyone out there is running? especially for autox / touge.

right now im just running tokico blues all around with some **** adjustable coilovers.

looking to upgrade soon. any suggestions?

o.O there is no "best" suspension.
I'm running Mugen and it rides amazingly with about a 1.5-2" drop

 

i got D2 and its alrite nothin special cant lower the car as much as i would like just to let you know

 

i got koni shocks ground control springs ebay coilovers [previous owner put on] and like the d2's, i cant go as low as id like.

[not trying to hijack your thread] but, anyone got any ideas on a setup thatll drop 15x7's w/ 195/50's enough to tuck the tire? at least in the front. my goal is a slammed front but let the *** end up a bit to show the beaks bar ^.^

oo right on. what kind of koni's? i had koni reds before but they blew. someone told me the best setup for the money would be koni yellows on gc's. havent really rode on good springs yet.. 60 dollar adjustables lol.

my friends got function n form type II's.. and i hell of like the ride.. but thats a **** load of money for something im going to abuse.

yes koni yellows, and ground controls, ff's are good, but you can achieve the same thing and more with koni/gc.

 

Custom built short stroke Racing Gear JTC N1 dampers with 18/16 springs.

It's more geared for circuit racing though. For touge you want something with stroke and a soft rear spring.

If you're serious about suspension then nothing off the shelf will work for you. Anything you can buy from someone and throw on your car with 32 ways of adjustment is crap. Koni/ ground control are a good combination however you need to get it revalved for your application.

 

my konis are rusting, below the coilover and where they show in the engine bay. is that bad? theyre about 4 years old, previous owner put em on. [yellows]

and are top hats universal?

 

Koni's and Ground Controls are literally the only way to go. tell me another setup where you can tuck 14's on the lowest setting and raise it up just as easy and have a stock height and feel.

plus LIFETIME WARRANTY ON ALL PARTS FTW

lifetime warranty? i dont have the original paperwork for the purchase. but my koni's are rusted to hell. can i get them replaced?

and yes people have made there own extended top hats, but if you dont have the tools and or know how just buy some, a few minutes on google would have gotten you your answer, stop being lazy and figurre it out.
