Why does everyone make such a big deal about this package? I'd have to laugh if I saw someone actually picking it up at the price its at. Lets give a rough estimate on RETAIL prices of the stuff in this package, dont forget dealer probably gets items at 1/2 this price.

High performance, track-tuned shocks and springs -600
Slotted Brake Rotors and performance brake pads -200
LIghtweight 17x7.5 inch alloy wheels -500
High performance tires (225/45VR17 Yokohama AVS ES100) -375
Factory performance rear wing spoiler (same as JDM Integra Type R) -250
Under body spoiler kit -700
Metallic look interior trim kit -150
Factory Performance shift **** (similar to S2000 Ti ****) -100
Factory Performance badging -1 dolla

All for under 2900 retail, plus a 100% mark-up, and viola...***-raping.

I'm wondering if they will sell certain parts of the package seperately, like the springs + shocks...

Why? I bet any other aftermarket performance springs/shocks will be twice as good.

I find it funny, that Acura did all that, but didn't add any power.

Where are all the 17 inch rim flames??? I thought 16 was the max according to everyone on this board... I guess Honda, world renouned for engineering was wrong to put 17's on their car... All the so called"JDM" experts must be baffled by this.

Well honda isn't sellling the car to make "us" happy. Car enthusiasts, like us, make up a very small market. Although Honda would like to satisfy everyones demand, they can't. They probably are trying to fill the demand of the average consumer. This package works out well if the consumer is willing to shell out the money. Why? The consumer still retains factory warranty. Some people aren't into modding their cars, but would still like to increase performance. This makes it easy for them. Just buy one package, pay, and its done. However IMO, i would never pay that much money for the package.

This is just another reason why they won't bring the type R over here.

Package deal only is what I heard.

Bad thing is, if it's $5k for this, what will the Type R version cost? $8k more????

Factory Performance badging -1 dolla

All for under 2900 retail, plus a 100% mark-up, and viola...***-raping.
I don't know, maybe we are being a little too critical here. Some of the prices are fair but may be just a bit low. That 700 $ body kit goes for more like 850$ (body shop discount), The wing is probably more like 350 $ (body shop cost), springs and shocks are probably about another 150 $ more. Wheels are probably another 150 $ as well. That adds about 600 $ to your original estimate and thats at body shop prices. These products will probably retail for a little more. But anyway if you add 600 $ to the 2900 $ thats 3500$. O.K. and lets remember that not everyone is an installer and needs to fork out some cash for installation. Well Acura's labor rate is easily 60 $ / hr. So 5000-3500=1500 for labor costs and profits. That gives the installers 25 hrs. to install all of these parts, which is not an unreasonable estimate for such a project.

My point is, yeah maybe its not worth it and maybe you can get a better car for this amount but honda is trying to give us some options ( I know its not an R). Also any of you guys with RSX, tally up what you have invested in your cars so far and I bet some of you have well exceeded the 5g$ amount.

my 2 cents for what that is worth.

IMO, I would rather use that 5grand to buy the wheels/tires/shocks/springs etc. that I choose personally. That way my car is unique, I guess I'm all about personal style and getting to choose my own parts. That's why I chose to build up a GSR instead of springing for a ITR.
