That second shell is close. How do the IAA accounts work? Is it a dealer only type auction?

it only depends on what they list, sometimes it can be dealers only or can be an open auction. they'll list like scrappers/imports/dealers and so on.

as buying them straight out i dont know, i just started looking through insurance sites that my friend suggested and came across these.

2nd one isn't bad either.

1st one would be ALOT of work, not to mention the frame is definitely tweaked up front, but still fixable with the right amount of time, patience, money and desire

IAA used to do only auctions, and the cars sold pretty high. I last dealt with them 5-6 years ago though, so I don't know how accurate that statement is anymore.
