Default Amsoil ATF?

How many people are actually using Amsoil ATF on the 6th gen accords? Any noticeable differences? I read at a lot of places that it's better then the Z-1 honda ATF and it helps the 6th gen honda accords shift smoother and help keep them cooler.

I know that using anything other then Z-1 could potentially destroy the transmission, but it says on their web site that the transmission should have absolutely zero side effects from using Amsoil and only help improve the shifting of the 6th gen accords.

I can't comment on Amsoil in Honda's as never used it but the comment " it's better then the Z-1 honda ATF and it helps the 6th gen honda accords shift smoother and help keep them cooler"

seems little odd to me.
AFAIK many OEM and specific type ATF use different friction modifiers, this affects how aggressive the clutches and bands grab . The thing is generally cooler means less slippage which mostly means less smooth shifts, ,as slippage increase temps . firmer shifts would give cooler temps , all other things being equal .

Need help, hopefully this thread will get noticed. Being a new member here I cant post any new threads. But i have an 03 Accord EX v6. Recently I have noticed that the AT is taking longer to shift I think its from 3-4th gear (usually when getting on the highway) it will rev higher than normal before shifting. I spoke with a mechanic friend who suggested changing the fluid and using an addititive. Being the 1st time I have ever changed AT fluid any tips? I am assuming there should be a drain plug at the back of the tranny, and obviously the fill should be easy enough. What type of fluid do I need to use, and what type of additive if any should I use? The car currently has about 170k, its a daily commuter about 80 miles a day. Knock on wood but so far the biggest problem we have had was with the brakes and other than this recent tranny problem she drives like new.
