1996 d16y7 - (dizzy p/n 31-17420)
1996 d16y8 - (dizzy p/n 31-17420 AND 31-17408)
2000 D16y7 - (dizzy p/n 31-17432)
2000 d16y8 - (dizzy p/n 31-17432)
After looking at the P/n for all of the above, i would say that only ODB2 dizzys are interchangeable between Vtec/nonVtec models of the same year only. Refer to the plug diagram below for mixing and matching from various year models.
the most common pic is below.
1996 d16y8 - (dizzy p/n 31-17420 AND 31-17408)
2000 D16y7 - (dizzy p/n 31-17432)
2000 d16y8 - (dizzy p/n 31-17432)
