Default f23 performance

im looking to get more acceleration because my car is a dog from a dig. is there anytype of handheld programmer or bigger throttle body that can help with this. its the f23a1 vtec motor. automatic. any pointers on what to get would be great

I'm speculating, but i don't think bolt-ons are going to convince the automatic trans to do much more for you. maybe a mild turbo set up would get you what you're looking for, but then your in a couple grand and you're still on borrowed time with the auto trans. chances are good it'll tear up from the abuse.

if you're really set on keeping that car and you honestly want better acceleration think about doing an auto-manual swap and using an H-series transmission (specifically H23 i think...). you'd see a noticeable improvement even without any other engine upgrades.

if you're stuck on the auto, try to find someone wanting to trade a V6 model. 98-02 were all auto and you'll have your acceleration.
