Did you run the 10.6 on this clutch? What tq are you at right now? I only have 350 ft/lbs so I don't think my experience is any help...

All comp clutches suck ***. Get a act double extreme pressure plate and a 6 Puck no springs. Ive had nothing but bad luck with there pressure plates. Many broken ones. One clutch welded itself to the pressure plate and flywheel

I had nothing but slippage issues with ACT extreme PP and a 6puck unsprung. I have the comp stage 5 with upgraded presure plate now. made 399wtq and have had no slipping issues at all. you should be ok I think

Yeh made that pass with this clutch, also a lot of hate on the competition clutches here. I personally have seen over 15 turbo setups making 400+whp with no problems ever with this clutch.

Still not a clear answer here yet, Ive heard of people laying around 625whp down before the clutch slips, guess ill just have to answer my own question. My car will be tuned in 2 weeks, and im just gonna keep turning the boost up till the clutch slips

If all he wants is 450 then go with a cc stage 5 but I made 554 and the rivots in the pp got loose so I won't buy another

i made 662 with my comp stage5, and like 480ft lbs of trq..

I will never run another act presure plate.. after looking at what it did to my thrust washers. the crank was moveing back and forth well more then what it shoould have been.

I'm on my second season with a comp stg 5 with the upgraded plate, has seen a little over 28psi via a 80lb wheel on a pretty efficient setup. Every time the trans was out the disc looked mint. Has to be one of the best feeling pucked clutch setups I have ever drove. I recommend them on a daily basis and I am not a distributor for comp.

no but we did another car the same week of tuning with a similar setup, made the same numbers and slipped at the same point with the upgraded pressure plate. for how much trouble it is to operate the upgraded plate with your feet, its not worth it. Its so hard to press and we broke a fork and had to reinforce a replacement fork. **** that.

number of "pucks" has nothing to do with pressure plate effort.

the upgraded is stupid and i have seen it split clutch engagement forks right in half.

ill let you know eaxctly what it holds in about 2 weeks. Im shooting for around 750whp with mine and if it holds thru the dyno session ill back it back down to about 550 till i can get a twin. It would cost more to only make 650 then buy a twin and go back to the dyno to make 100 more whp so im going for it.
