Icon6 d16y7 into 91 ef hatch

i put my d16y7 in my 91 ef civic hatch and its a jump from obd0 to 0bd2 and i cant seem to find a harness. right now i have a crx si harness hooked up but my distributer and my main harness plugs in the corner will not plug up. which harness should i use to get everything to plug in with no problems???

also i converted the starter alternator and distibuter to obd0 any info please let me know. thanks.

For the distributor you can follow the directions for OBD0 to OBD1 found in the FAQ (the only difference between the OBD1 and OBD2 plugs is that OBD1 has two plugs and OBD2 has a single plug, both versions utilize the same wires).

Question, you say you have a CRX Si harness, do you mean you have the engine harness? What about the interior harness? Is that from a CRX Si as well?

i have a crx si motor harness yes but my body harness is the harness off my stock motor which was a d15b1 dpfi. so i just need to buy an obd0 to obd1 adapter for my distributer??

you do need that yes, but you cannot use the si harness since your car was no an si to begin with. the wires for mpfi do not exist within the stock cabin harness. you need to get a stock harness and convert it from mpfi to dpfi.

i dont understand. i took out my d15b1 which was a 4 spd dpfi motor and i currently have a d16y7 in my car now. ever plug plugs up on my harness beside the distributer and the cirle plug in the driver side corner. i have a plug for the corner off a jdm b18 and it plugs in but it has 13 wires and my si harness has 8 so i have no idea how to splice and reconect the wires.

your stock cabin harness (the part that goes into the car) is wired for dpfi and nothing else. plugging in an si harness simply will not work because the stock cabin harness has no provisions for the cps sensor on the dizzy and the extra 2 injectors. you MUST convert to mpfi. there's no way around it.

Yeah you can get the rest of the CRX/Civic Si cabin harness to match. It's been discussed before and the majority say it's easier to convert your old DPFI harness to MPFI. It's only a few wires you're adding to it, very easy to be honest (Personally I'm scared of wiring issues but I've done 3 myself without any issues. The write ups in the FAQ are very thorough).

As stated before, it's more than likely because you need the correct matching cabin harness. Do yourself a favor and remove the CRX Si harness. Replace it with your old original DPFI harness. Then do the MPFI conversion. Since you have the correct harness with MPFI already from the CRX Si harness you can tear it open and reuse just the fuel injector and resistor box wiring portions to make it a little bit easier (not to mention wire color correct).
