My 98 accord coupe driver side door will not open. It will not open from the inside or outside. The door lock pin lifts to the open position with the auto door opener but I can't get the door open. It is like the door latch is stuck in the locked position or it is broken closed.

I am able too peek inside the door by looking down the window and I can see the door handle moving the mechanism but the door dont open.. Any ideas. I googled and there was a hit on drilling a hole in the door. This was for an older model honda.

Can the dealer get it open?

 

I think u have a serious problem here. there is 2 way get a slim jim go down in there and pull on linkage. second pull door panel off so u can see what is broke inside..

 

same thing happened to me when they broke into my 98 accord, i could not open my door at all, i had to take it to a shop and i had to buy a new relay but im not 100% sure you have the same problem it could be something else just take it to a body shop
