need opinions on these tires
I've accumulated a number of different sets of tires in the past little while. i need opinions/ info on each please in regards to road noise, performance traction, wet traction and treadwear. reason is i have several sets of wheels that will be used for different needs and weather while on different cars, and id like to get them all mounted up and balanced in the next couple days. the tires in question are:
-falken ze 502
-kumho ecsta ast
-toyo proxes 4
-cooper cs4 touring
-nankang ex 500
thanks for any info, but please im mainly looking for people educated on these tires versus random opinions...

They are all really cheap all-season tires, and in terms of performance and traction, they are just not very good. The Proxes 4 may be the best of them but it is just barely okay, not a standout.
as fair as i can surmise the coopers are the best all around, followed by the toyos, then kuhmos, falkens and finally the nankang... sound about right?
You need to look at the specific tire, not the brand. For example, the Kumho Ecsta AST you mention is a cheap, crappy all-season tire. But Kumho also makes the Ecsta ASX, which is one of the best all-season tires on the market, and is priced very reasonably too.
No, not at all. Most brands make different tires for different purposes - sticky tires for use on racetracks and in autocross, summer tires for areas or seasons that don't experience harsh winter conditions, winter tires for winter conditions, all-seasons for winter and summer conditions, cheap tires for budget purposes, high-performance tires for high-performance cars, etc.
