ok my 90 accord has a weird squeal coming from inside the timing belt cover (at least i think) its definately not a belt squeak, could this be my water pump? plz help!?

 

could be the water pump or the t-belt tensioner..
also chk to make sure that it is not coming from inside the distributor cap..,, those years had an issue with distr top bearing making a squealing noise ,,,

 

really? its a pretty heavy winding noise, kinda more like i gear drive on a chevy! im thinking water pump, the noise is coming from wat i can hear exactly where the water pump is? would the distributor bearing make noise in that spot?

 

In a 90, the distributor is on the other end of the engine.
