is your car your life? build thread maybe?
i have a 1994 cd7 ex. i bought it not running. i swapped a replacement motor only to find out it
was shot. so i swapped out another motor and then it was great. this car is honestly the funnest
car i have ever driven. i have driven an 06 goat and i think that its kinda messed up.. but, it is a
honda. anyways now after 9 or so swaps. maybe this isnt a big deal maybe it is? i have ripped the
heart out of this car and am ready for something new. i have a jdm f22b dohc. its almost ready to
be put in... just waiting on assembly. so while i was waiting i decided to clean it up because well..
i love this car. i started to remove the abs. which is a headache to say the least. i removed the
modulator and the proportioning valve. i added the prop valve from a 92 prelude S and i still have
brakes so its all good. but wth do i do with the wires for abs. on the passenger side i ran them
into the car and now they are hanging. on the driver side i have all the abs wires hanging over
the fender. should i stuff these inside too or should i just cut them cause i never plan on selling
the thing anyways and someone would be stupid to put abs back in... what do you guys think? i
also ripped apart the interior. i am in the process of fiberglassing the door panels because of
course the fat guy i bought it from put his arm through the driver side and the passenger side is
just *** bad. after i finish the fiberglass i am wrapping them in microsuede because well with my
tan leather interior rsx seats are coming and i need something to replace the ripped vinyl so thats
my solution. i have rust on the rear quarter panels of course and a new panel is 700 bucks so how
does fiberglass sound to you guys? any suggetions? the door is shot on the bottom to because of
the oh so sweet weather stripping our 5th gens have that lets water get inside your doors. so i
guess ill just have to find a door from a sedan and chop it up. im 18 years old have so much life
ahead of me and this car does too.. your suggetions and input is greatly apprecited. thanks guys
and thanks honda-tech

Just a general internet point, you should space out your paragraph as that's quite a topic changing bit of clutter as it stands, just space it out some more.
I'm not sure why you removed ABS as it's quite helpful, especially if it was working fine. The ABS modulator can act up causing the light to come on but that can be diagnosed and fixed (possibly cheap).
If you have questions on how to do something use the Accord FAQ - you can also find the website section that has a few sites to buy replacement OEM parts - like your weather stripping.

Fiberglass to repair rust is not a solution. I tried it and the rust just got bigger. Here is a website I found a while back. http://www.fixmyrust.com/Product/5144058.html

that is the plan cant wait till this car is done
take your drivers side fender off first. then find the little hole where you can see into the engine bay from the outside - it is under there just search. once you have found the hole drill it out with a 1 1/2" - 2" hole saw. run the wires in and wire tie them up to the hood release cable. done.
my question to you is about the prop valve from the 92 prelude. is it from a car that did not have abs?? i am curious because i already hid my abs wires but i want to remove the abs module and lines like you already did. it seems like i did what you wanted to do and you did the other half of the job.
please let me know on that part from the prelude and i will assist you in the abs wire thing if needed.
thanks and good luck.

and put new flares on them. i have to re-do on because it leaks a little but
ive bled my brakes in the front and it seems to have worked. then again i dont
have a motor to test them when running lol.. soon..
btw all i got really lucky. and i mean REAL lucky. i found another coupe that
got *** packed. the entire thing was mint hardly any rust and the interior of
course is perfect. i was gonna have to buy all kinds of front end parts and
now i dont need doors door panels or seats.. if i can find some rsx cloth tan
seats ill probably buy them but for now im swapping the interior from this
coupe to my black one. thank god for reasonable people and for him selling
this thing to me for 425.

yes its from a prelude s which didnt have abs basically i just cut all the lines
and put new flares on them. i have to re-do on because it leaks a little but

as far as running the wires where i told you to i can take pics tonight or tomorrow and post them.
here is a pic of her - boosted f22!

yeah i jsut looked around on here.. but then i didnt really find anything. so i just figured i would need a prop valve for non abs.. i had the prelude apart so i took it and then bought some fitting cause our ex master cylinders rear line fitting is bigger.. so you have to do that then just bend the lines kinda the way they still fit. here is a pic. the one in my hand is stock.. seeing that the coupe i have doesnt have abs maybei will jsut swap the brake boosters and everything else to my car haha other wise i just looked at the non abs accord and the prop valves look identical. so any accord thats non abs would be a donor.
so i got the motor put all together. hid the abs wires and taped them up. swapped my
interiors out. kinda.... i got the carpet in at least.. i've been scrubbing.. but i got into a
snag.. 1) i was scammed and was told the clutch i bought was for an accord. of course
it wasn't it was for a b series. 2) how am i gonna continue to have a front motor mount
with my turbo?

there doesnt seem to be any room to put the mount there.. i know ill have
to cut it a lot but still the bolt head is way too big that its not even gonna fit behind the
compressor housing.
here is a pic of the mount bolted up without the turbo
