Not sure about other countries, but the U.S. 97 EX does not have an EGR system. Only the 97 HX has one.

For the U.S. 95 DX, it also does not have an EGR system if you have the D15b7 engine. Only the D15Z1 engine has one.

You don't have an EGR valve on your vehicle.

D15b7 Is what is printed on the block. Another question ? If the check engine light is not on, does that mean that the engine is not throwing any codes or do i have to plug it in to find out.

This can't be a serious question. Buy a Helm's manual for your car and read. I don't mean to flame you, but really? If you ARE being serious, that would scare the hell out of me, and I wouldn't want you anywhere near my vehicle.

I don't have my chilton manual handy but there are only certain models that actually have an EGR. Personally I think your better off without it.
