No EGR valve?
I just bought this 95 Civic DX 4 door that im working on. But as i was closing the hood on it i noticed that the egr valve was missing.. Is it suposed to have one i mean i know my 97 EX had one. But this just bogles my mind , and will it use a lot more petro if the valve is missing? Please help guys i bought it for a daily driver but i prefer not to drive it until i solve this problem...
Not sure about other countries, but the U.S. 97 EX does not have an EGR system. Only the 97 HX has one.
For the U.S. 95 DX, it also does not have an EGR system if you have the D15b7 engine. Only the D15Z1 engine has one.

D15b7 Is what is printed on the block. Another question ? If the check engine light is not on, does that mean that the engine is not throwing any codes or do i have to plug it in to find out.
This can't be a serious question. Buy a Helm's manual for your car and read. I don't mean to flame you, but really? If you ARE being serious, that would scare the hell out of me, and I wouldn't want you anywhere near my vehicle.
