So i have been looking for a 4th gen for some time now after being forced to sell my crx. I was looking for a 1.4 dual carb to start with as its cheap insurance, but deep down always wanted another 1.6 d16a9. One popped up for sale on 4guk as spares or repairs with the MOT running out, The price was epic so i couldnt resist.

The car wont be on the road till july time, as i need to save for my holiday also.

The sills need replacing or patching, my dad had a good look though so must not be to bad, i got a quote from a garage £300 to repair them.

This is the mods it came with

Powerflow exhaust (similar to mongoose design)

I think the tow hook is a bodge job DIY thing looking at it, i have some pictures of the sills but there on my camera and i cant get them off yet.

Ps. Mark its had the fog lights smoothed out, Does anybody know the legal requirements for the rear fog, IE size etc ?

Another quick update, sold my AEM intake and purchased a standard VT box like i was advised, looking for a ITG filter but struggling.

Just bought some recaros back of a mate, i bought them for my mini about 2 years ago. Cost me £20 off my mate

Also got a DC2 centre console coming so ill get pics up asap!

Update time

To start of my dad sorted out the wiring for the stereo, discovered that there is some nice sony xplod speakers in the door cards.



As you can see wires tidy up abit better and correct plugs put on



Oh whats this



Still unsure on them tbh, i need to buy a gear gator and also the hand brake cover(i think any way)

Fitted the standard airbox BUT it does bolt in any were or have any holes that line up or anything, so what should i do ? Just sorta jam it in position or make some holes to bolt it in ?





Next the speed line alloys, no idea what these are or what their worth or anything. Unsure about them as currently the car has 13" steelies and sits pretty nice but these are fifteen inch and GIGANTIC compared to the 13's so thinking may refurb them sell them and get 14's. Opinions ?








Also what size are the original door speakers ? As i beleive some one has put the originals in the parcel shelf and i want to replace them with something better but not make the holes any bigger in the parcel shelf.

Also going to attempt the iphone/ipod dock in the ashtray mod shortly.

Got £100 in my paypal to purchase some bits so i am thinking

Mugen Pedals

Another update!

Put one of the wheels on to see if they fit and how they looked so heres the pictures from that









What do you guys think ? Do i get them polished up, painted white or black ?


Next came the DC2 cup holder conversion, i was slightly sceptical of this as was un sure of the fitement/over all product

Any way i set away doing it, i had one major issue and that was getting the plug/switch thing out of the back of the cigarette lighter in the end i pulled that hard i just snapped the wire I need to get this out to put into the dc2 cup holder.

Other then that it all went okey. I have not screwed it in or finished it off in any way yet i just wanted to see what it would look like, here are some pictures.





As you can see in the below pictue the screw holes dont line up in the slightest with the old ones as you cant even see them






Whats every ones opinions ? Does any body want me to write an how too for the cup holders ?

Another update. Not very exciting tbh.

A parcel arrived.





Went to fit them, but my battery was dead.

I am in two minds now. Do i sell my wheels and use that to pay for my tax or keep my wheels and get them re furbed and wait longer for it to be on the road. OR sell my wheels and buy some fireblade bike carbs off my mate.....
