Default 4 questions about an ef hatch/b17 swap

alright, i'm looking into doing a b17 swap into my 89 civic si, and i have four questions that will most likely decide if i do it or not. so here we go:

1. i know they make obd0 to obd1 adapter harness's, but is there any reason i can't rewire it myself? i would rather not spend 150 bucks if i don't have to.

2. how big of a challenge would it be to build my own engine/tranny mounts? i have done this for v8's before, if that counts for anything. so i guess how much harder/easyer would it be then that?

3/4. can i swap the DA hubs over to my ef, and use the stock DA axles? or would i have to buy the swap axles and use the stock ef hubs? or is there another option i don't know about?

thanks for any and all help. all constructive comments welcome.

I believe most of this should be covered in the FAQ. You can just obtain OBD1 ECU plugs and depin or splice as needed provided you have accurate pinout locations handy (you'll still need to add necessary connections for VTEC). You do not need to swap front hubs but I believe there is a dust ring you need to remove in order to get the B-series axles to seat properly. Fabricating your own mounts? I guess you should be fine assuming your welding skills are good.

awesome. the only thing i wasn't really sure about was the axles, is the da's width the same as the ef then? i really just wanted some confirmation on the other stuff. now, my final question. do you think i will be able to sell the interior parts of a 92 gsr for 450 bucks or more? (to pay for the car )

no idea. when doing b series swaps, you're supposed to use da axles...

For the ecu? you could probably get away with using an obd0 pr3 b16 ecu

I dont have any experience with ef/da swaps but i'd imagine that da mounts would bolt right to the ef chassis
