Default exhaust fitment coupe to hatch?

i cant find a definite answer on this.

i need a 3 inch exhaust and was about to order a bolt up kit from kteller. they only have 2 and 2.5 listed for a coupe, an email resulted in them telling me that the regular 92-00 civic exhaust wont fit because "the axle section is too long".

well whats too long? too long like sticks out of the bumper so all i have to do is cut it or what?

yea man the axle back part will be too long...a coupe is longer than a hatch..i had the same exact problem..i bought a buddy club spec 2 for my 96 coupe thinking it would be the same as the 96 ek hatch cause thats all that was listed and ended up being about 3 or 4 inches short of the bumper

the coupe won't fit the muffler itself is more then likely too long an will hit the lower control arm... get one made for a hatch... eg hatches are really short in the back...

yes it is cheaper for the piping, but local places want to rape me on the welding, or wont touch it since they wont risk being responsible for a poor fitting kit.

they want close to 200 to weld on a damn muffler and 4 hangers

i either have a high end hot rod restoration shop or midas.

midas wont touch it unless i buy it from them, hot rod shop wants like 200 for welding.

looks like im gonna ghetto rig somethin with clamps.

go to your nearest tech school walk into the welding classroom and ask a kid to do it. thats sorta what i did i just have a friend going for welding. but theres also a shop that'll do full catbacks here for 200 all of it. id say search around you may have to drive a lil bit but 200 just for welding is nuts.
