OEM or After Market?
i have a 2003 honda odyssey and getting ready to do a major tune up on it including timing belt ect....and say a kit on ebay http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/Timin...Q5fAccessories wondering if i should just go to a honda dealer and get the parts there?
In my experience (close to 10 years with Honda) Honda parts are ALWAYS better then aftermarket. I wouldn't think of risking quality on the cheapest part that can ruin the whole engine.
i agree and disagree... if u are good with your hands and are going to keep up on your car then aftermarket is fine... if you have to actually get your job done at a shop then go with oem because it will last longer an give u a piece of mind... but like i said if your good with your hands u save money on parts and labor.. i just did my timing belt water pump etc.. full tune up and i did it all aftermarket parts..... now this doesnt mean im going to run it for 200 thousand miles u know what i mean.. good luck its your choice
OEM all the way. Way to many different aftermarket companies throw parts out for thousands of different vehicles. I wouldn't mess with parts that will cost you thousands if they fail.
I won't touch my Odyssey, only Honda. Ok, it has a few Mugen and Spoon items, but nothing mechanical. I want my Ody to have the highest resale value possible, so yes, the dealer it is.
