PA 1991 Honda Civic Wagon RT4WD Clean and OEM
I'm selling my 1991 Civic RT4wd. This is a very clean and original wagon and almost rust free. I've owned it since 188xxx. I'll list what I know about it and then let the pictures do the talking...
UPDATE:I installed a jvc headunit and 6 disc changer as well as kenwood 2-ways in the front and rear. I also took pictures of the driveshafts. I want to clarify that all bushings, mounts, timing belt, and water pump are oem. The seals/gaskets in the motor are fel-pro.
Exterior:
Front end was repainted and the hood and right fender have clear coat. The left fender does not appear to have clear coat but is definitely repainted. The hood has a minor scrape on the right side.
The front bumper has a hole cut in it (not sure why) on the lower right area. Also has a mild scrape.
The roof rack is missing a tie down ****.
Minor dent in the left rear quarter panel. A single rust spot on the right rear quarter (I have seen no other rust on this car).
The clearcoat is flaking on the lip of the wheels.
Interior:
Left front seat is wore on the left bolster and the foam is somewhat deteriorated (its not as supportive).
There is no radio. I will put front speakers back in if I can locate the ones that came with the car.
There are 2 good sets of floormats, a jdm rear cargo cover, and rear speaker pods. It is a jdm cover because the usdm are grey and the jdm are black. Took me about a year to locate a soft cargo cover. Floormats are fairly hard to find as well.
Sometimes water comes in on the passenger side. Appears to come in the heater/blower box. I looked 2 or 3 times and couldn't find a thing wrong. It might do it every rain for a month and then not do it more than once for 3 months. Doesn't leak much, just a small spot on the floormat gets wet.
Mechanically:
Had a sohc zc put in about 10k miles ago. New clutch, throwout bearing, water pump, timing belt, cam seals, crank seals, valve guide seals, valve cover gasket, oil pan gasket. I use castrol edge synthetic and change every 4k (shortchanged the first time on the zc at 2k). I just (today, actually) changed the a/c idler pulley, the oxygen sensor, and the oil. The oil was still full when changed today. It uses/loses very little if any.
I replaced a power steering line about 7-8k miles ago.
A/C works well. Has a R134 conversion doesn't get frigid but gets very cool. It was recharged a year ago (when the conversion was done) and hasn't needed any maintenance since (aka no leaks).
The suspension bushings have around 30k on them in this car (some were used from my hatch and they would have around 50k). All were replaced.
Replaced front and rear motor mounts and the rear differential mounts.
The exhaust rusted out and was hurriedly replaced/made with a friend who "had done exhausts before". It didn't turn out that great. It works though.
I have two complete driveshafts for it. One has a u-joint that is almost completely immobile and one has a joint that is badly worn and vibrates a lot. The driveshaft shop said they could replace the joints in the driveshaft. Also supposedly someone is making a u-joint that is civic specific this year (see hondacivicwagon.com for more info).
The tires were replaced before the winter and have a max of 6k on them.
That's all I can remember right now. I will update if I remember more things. The car currently has 221xxx. I'm asking $3300 OBO. Located in Lancaster, PA.

KBB is good for current vehicles but not for stuff like this. RT4WD's are getting more popular and harder to find. Thus a good condition one in the rust belt is much harder to find (not impossible, but definately harder than 2.5 yrs ago when I bought this).
Honestly if you got one for $1k then you got a steal even for an auto.
I priced it based on rarity of the vehicle (how often do you see one this clean for sale?), accessories (mats are hard to find and cargo covers damn near impossible), and the recent mechanical work that was done. The roof rack, rear pods, cargo cover, and mats are probably worth at least $600 if I were to sell them seperate. So honestly, you have to compare the whole picture and that's why I priced it as I did.
And remember, it is OBO.

why do i like these ugly things? I'd say its a little high based on the guy from MT who is trading selling his for 4K but yours is nice! Get what you can! GLWS
Update: now has jvc headunit and six disc changer and kenwood 2-ways all around.
I'll be quite honest and say I don't really expect to get what I'm asking. Make a reasonable offer and I'll consider it. I'm going to pick up an integra tomorrow and the sooner this is gone the better. Just make it reasonable (some guy on craigslist offered me $2000)...
