Default 1st attempt at breaking into my car

So i parked my car on the street (I don't live in the ghetto), and I noticed the weather strippin is messed up. someone tried stickin a hanger in there and breakin in..(this is my first accord 97)..I had nothing in there and luckily I took my face plate off and had a club on the clutch..

any other inexpensive ideas on deterring theft?

Get a sleeping bag and sleep under your car for a few nights with a taser...
Once you tase/stun them, throw them in the trunk and go for a long ride...
When you pop the trunk, tase them once more to knock them out. Strip them of everything and go home knowing someone has learned their lesson....

Or you could get a car alarm installed.

You cant stop someone breaking in, all you can do is stop them from stealing the car...

Look into Mul-T-Lock or something similar if you are genuinely paranoid about someone taking the car....

If you want to stop people coming into it, nothing short of full time armed security can guarantee that..

I wasn't so lucky.. I got a rock through my back screen once... Well... the rock bounced off but left a pretty big hole.. It was only the tint that stopped it from shattering into the car...

My guess was that they expected me to stop and then rob me.. I obviously did not stop

I'm not being paranoid.. I know of two other people who had their windshields broken at that very same intersection.... Of course the police denied any previous incidents despite my insurance agent himself having his window broken there and reporting it to the police station (which was LITERALLY 30 seconds drive away) around a corner...

A GOOD alarm, installed correctly. With glass break and other sensors. Of course if you have tint it will mess up the chances of the glass break sensor working.

Should have at least one or two kill switches as well.

Just read the audio/video/security forum.
