help with letter finish on dohc vtec valve cover
Not sure if this belongs here, but feels most suiting to post here.
I have a question on how to achieve a brushed / machined metal look on the letters of a DOHC VTEC valve cover? I have access to a dremel with all sorts of bits, but I want to make certain I use the right one since I only have one shot at this.
Are there any other methods available? Any help would be appreciated! Thanks

You could spend some cash and have it machined off at a shop, or take a little time and get some sand paper and finish it off. I've seen both, and the manual method can get great results with a little patience.
after you paint it take a razorblade and cut the paint off of the leters ...put it on the car and ride aroud for a while to "cook" it on there so it wont chip or smudge so easy ...take it back off and use 320 or higher grit depending on the look u want i sand in small circles for better control but you can do back and forth as well just will look a little different ...throw it back on the care and call it a day
