apexi vafc2 question

Default apexi vafc2 question

so i just picked this up and i was wondering what all i needed to do to put it in my 88 crx i plan on puting a y8 head on my a6 block and i need to know if i needed to convert my wiring or if it will work with the obd0 wiring it has curently

y8 is obd2 you are obd1 you would need to convert.You also need to run a wire for vtec aswell also i think you need to swap the y8 cam for the a6 cam not sure.I have not done a minny me swap in years.there is alot more to in then just slapping on heads and calling it a day you also need to switch the ecu out to.

yea i i figured you had to swap the ecu but ive heard that you could hook up the vtec with out changing all the wiring around i was told you could convert y8 motor to obdo and just use a jumper harness but im not the best at wiring so i dont know **** when it come to this

yea im thinking about just going with the z6 i heard there overall a better motor

Why do you need an air/fuel hack? If you need tuning, chip the ECU. I not, just leave it stock.

Gibsanez is correct.

I'd go as far as saying you need a trash can. Better then passing it on to the next person who just doesn't know better.

VAFC hacks are just not for these cars they have a place on some due to the ECU and sensors (DSMs) but end of the day even them it's still a bandaid fix.
