thanks for da help man....I appreciate it....I will pick up that manual 2morrow..
i just finished doing this about 2 and half weeks ago, remove the plastic molding around your shifter, then remove the ashtray, youll be on your kness, once you remove the ashtray you will see 2 screws where the ashtray was(i think, but i know you will be able to tell) then unscrew those, and boom, you can now take out the head unit.
P.S. when you remove the plastic molding, there are 3 screws on it, one infront by the shifter, one in middle and one in the back, and its on each side, so basically 6 screws, when you pull it off, dont try and unscrew the middle, to make it 2 parts, just pull off the whole thing, but your drivers seat all the way back, and lay it down, so that the resting arm bar doesnt get in the way, put the car in gear 1, if your auto, and pull off the molding
or maybe im just dumb

lay in pass. floor board . look up at back of radio . there will be two screws ( phillips) 8mm hex as well . use a 1/4 in. drive w/ 6" extension. you do not have to take console out. i have probably done 100 of them in the past .
