To those with Spoon mirrors....
Does anybody know what to ask for when you go to buy new glass?? I feel really dumb, but while I was sitting at a stop light, I went to adjust them up a little, and guess I just dont know my own strength and broke the glass. I dont really want to go to a special place that cuts glass if i can pick a set of the actual mirror parts at like Napa, or Autozone or somewhere like that. Thanks!
i had a friend do the same thing, just put his thumb right through it...he told me its because they are all plastic, not glass, thats why they are so lightwieght
ooouccch thats gotta hurt i would try and contact spoon or the place u bought them from and tell them what happened cant hurt
Yeah, Ive contacted the guy I bought 'em from. Its not that Im upset with him or Spoon about the glass breaking, I remember a post about a week or so ago about this, but I just want new glass so I dont roll around looking "stunna-riffic" and worrying about the glass thats broken either falling out or if it does cutting me when i go to pull it all out (if that makes any sense)....If anybody can find that post please let me know, I couldnt find it with the search! It actually didnt even cut me though, which is gravy!
I would check with a glass specialist, or someone who cuts glass professionally. They should be able to measure what's left of the old one, and cut a new one to replace it. There's a lot of this going on lately, my friend did the same thing to his Spoon replica's about a week ago.
Yeah, to anybody thinking about spoon mirrors, I WOULD NOT BUY THEM A SECOND TIME....the visibilty is crappy and when you try to adjust them so you can see worth a crap, they break, just my .02. Not to start another "Spoon is overpriced crap" thread agian but the only money I should have injested in them was for my duracon plastic shift ****. Oh well, you live and learn
