98 D16Y8 distributor fit on 00 D16Y8?

Default 98 D16Y8 distributor fit on 00 D16Y8?

Hey guys... I've got a 98 Civic EX... After blowing a rod through the block i bought an engine out of a 00 Civic with no dizzy... got it all together and wont run and looks goofy on there as well...The coil gets power and everything and im still not getting spark. do i need to get a new dizzy for a 00?

What do you mean "it looks goofy on there" it should look exactly the same as it did on the old Y8. The distributors are different, but only in terms of the grey plug. You must use a '96 - '98 distributor in a '96 - '98 civic.
