The car is a 2000 4 dr civic SE from Canada, I ordered a headlamp set off of ebay [usa] and this is how its mounting up.

Is this my fault or a bad fitting headlamp ?

Something is wrong there. I double check the oem Honda parts listings, looks like both 2 and 4 door models use the same part numbers. Not sure what the issue is there.

Question, why buy cheap no name headlights? They are far inferior to actual oem parts.

Really didn't think it would make that much of a difference, Thought that the chrome halo set up was more modern looking as well.

Wow, i have ebay headlights and they arent nearly this bad. What i think of is put the headlight stay back on and mod the headlight mount and you should be able to close up that gap

i'm thinking you bought the wrong headlight. not sure what the 2000 civic se equivalant is in the us. but it may have similar body lines to that of the 96-98 civic headlights.

i said the same thing with mine, and trust me a few minutes with a dremil got it pretty good, they look like *** when you pop the hood but the line up better.

take the bolts off and push the headlight into the position it should be in and look at how far the bolts are off, it can be done

The Civic SE sedan is also a US model. It's also called the VP (Value Package) or DX-V.

'99-'00 headlights are the same on all coupes, hatches and sedans in the US and Canada. I've never heard of any '99-'00 front end fitting differently than any other '99-'00 front end. '96-'98 front ends LOOK different. See the corner of that headlight and where it meets the fender? Those parts look different on '96-'98 Civics.

The only thing I could think of it that it's hitting something behind the light.

Could you take a photo of how it fits behind the headlight?

Even aftermarket lights shouldn't fit this poorly.

yea it was hit, But just the front bumper cover was damaged.
and I didnt have it shipped anywhere, Its originally from Canada someone either had it imported here or they drove it from Canada to the states.

But It def was made in Canada, On the door sticker it says "Honda of Canada"

98civdx & NOFX: You guys hit on the head..It was hitting the fender to frame brace..So i'll have to delete that to make it work, as well as not using the OEM mounting holes. If I push the headlamps back it goes beyond where they need to be to use them. So looks like I'll be doing to cutting and Drill/Tapping.
