Doing a B18A1 LS Swap
...into my 86 CRX! Here's the story
I bought an 86 CRX that had a stock D15 in it, non-running for $350 with the intentions of doing a B16 swap in it. I already had a line to a guy that had a "b16". Apparently the person who knew the guy with the motor was special, and the guy actually had a B18 when I got in contact with him. After talking with another friend, we decided on purchasing the B18 anyways and it came with a freshly rebuilt tranny. $300 bucks and alot of excitement later, came home and started pulling peices-parts out of my CRX.
Here i sit, with an almost clean engine compartment and I thought about it and decided to post a thread here. I am wondering if anyone else has done a B18 swap to a 86 CRX or a close year? I'd like to know if theres any serious problems they ran into that I need to worry about.
Also looking to see if its possible to go from the oldschool 86 rectangle hood to one of the 88-92 CRX hood styles? I'd much rather get rid of the extra peice on the front bumper than keep it... Thanks. :0

if the CRX was a carbed model and not the Si, you will need to swap the complete fuel system and most of the wiring from 1g CRX Si model into the car in order to run the fuel injected engine - you will need to swap the knuckles/hubs for ones from the 86-89 Integra - you will need a mount kit, custom shift linkage, custom axles and exhaust
Hasport has a pretty good installation guide here:
