Well I found this guy on craigslist and had to jump on it. Its a 2002 GTI, and its the 337 edition. For those of you who dont know, the 337 is pretty rare (only 1500 were made) and I was really lucky to find it. It has several things different that a normal GTI. It has Recaro seats, Votex lip kit, 18" BBS RCs, 6spd, sport suspension, bigger brakes, etc. It was a one owner who was like 45 and its been pretty well taken care of and its completely stock. Got it for dirt cheap and I love it. Anyway here are some pics.

i had one of those in '03. i liked it alot, but realized if i kept putting miles on it the value would really take a hit, so i sold it for more than i bought it ; )

great car. fantastic, in fact - as long as the window regulators and coil packs don't die ; )

 

I love the seats..other than that it can burn in hell.

yep thats the one! And yes the lip is pretty jacked, thats really the only thing it needs

 

I had one in 2002. Fun car, lots of extras vs a normal GTi. It had the typical VW gremlins tho and depreciated like a rock so I got rid of it after a year of ownership.

My favorite part of the car was the R32 steering wheel I added and my center cap mod (I used Honda center caps)!! <--- Clicky!!!

really? i sold mine 337 in 03 for about what i paid for it...and it had 21k miles.

you might have seen a little initial drop because of VW releasing the 20th the year after, but that was short-lived IF that is what happened.

i was looking at one the past two days where the guy is asking 14.9! 8 years old now....though his is very low mileage.
