b16a built to b16b specs?
what would i have to do in order to have a b16a that is kinda similar to a b18b specs.
i know i know i can just go gsr. or b20v
but i wanna bar my car with a usdm b16.
idk if i can post this topic on this forum but yeah.
would stage 2 cams
ctr pistons
oh and to be able to rev to 9k??
what kind of rods/ rod bolts does the b16b have?

why not do a better than b16b build ?
you can keep your stock rod and crank, change the pistons to slightly higher compression and do valve train. ( as you said skunk2 stage 2s work nicely )
so some heard porting if its in the budget.

well im going to be building it from the ground up.
im getting a stock block.
and just keeping the crank.
just dont know what pistons to use.
and a b16 head.
just dont know what valve train.
ya digg?

The B16B short block is a P72, the same as a gsr, and integra type r as well. It would be stupid to find the destroked b16b crank when even the 1.8L gsr crank would make more power

So you want to continue use a B16A block? If so, your bottom end won't to use a ctr crank or rods. You can use the pistons, but they aren't that great. The dome is so high on them, there is often unburned mixture and deposits an the two outer lower sections of the piston heads being they are so far away from the spark.
The last two genuine B16B engines i has had major carbon deposits on the pistons, i was not impressed.

You should only be revving to 9k if you're making power that high. Check out the All motor forum and look up the B16 builds in there. A lot of guys like the Buddy Club spec 3 cams.
just build the bottom end with aftermarket parts and your bottom end will be better than a b16b. this post is pointless anyways. just do research and do what you want to do. and by the way the height of the b16a and b16b blocks are different, making it impossible to use all the ctr internals in a b16a bottom end.
This thread is the real reason for suicide bombings.
Oi vey.
Search key OP learn it love it use it.
With that you'd know this doesn't work like you think, it's not a good idea nor is the bang for buck remotely there.

I'm so jealous of someone who knows less and will have a slower car then me. Not to mention if only I could be so insecure I'd build a car just to spite someone online.
Kids like you are more a cancer to honda's then rear fender rust.
Also learn to type ima is not English, most of us grown ups use English on this site, but coming from someone with a myspace link in their sig, well I don't even need to say it.
