this build started this past august. i got the car for free as a BARE shell. i had to spend a few weeks finding suspension components to get it to look like this.




i spent the next couple of days looking for body panels and a door. went n craigslist and found a crx that had lost control and smashed into a tree on the pass door and 1/4 panel. i got everything for $200








the interior was TRASHED

finished ripping up the carpet and other crap. got some interior pieces as well




picked up a slightly modded jdm b18c and a ys1 gsr tanny. also got a rmf narrow rep header

it was supposed to be Satin black. i wanted a stealthy look. i painted it myself. this was my very first time ding body work and paint. i leaned a few things from my mistakes and i plan to repaint it soon

the valve cover is a vinyl wrap

Hey this is pretty much what I'm doin besides I have a si Hatch and I'm stickin with a single slam lol but I'm curious what u painted the block and tranny with and what you used to get them so clean and correct me if I'm wrong but it is painted right??

 

Was the 12.05 ET on slicks? good times either way.

 

1/4 mile or 1/8th?

 

i used high temp paint from autozone. i cleaned the motor up with purple power and afterwards sanded the engine and transmission with 300 grit paper

 

yes 22's. i had my 2step set a tad low which stopped me from getting a better 60 foot. if i can pull a 1.8 o 1.7 i should have a 11 sec time slip

things i dig: the shifter, the badass header, and the valve cover
things i dont dig: the camo (surprised noone has hated on it yet)

awsome build though, looks like alot of work has gone into it for sure. how long did it take?

 

also, a bud has those wheels on his ef sedan, they are one of the sickest sets of wheels for an ef imo.
