are you sure they aren't the 13" vx wheels?? they look almost identical. are they 13" or 14"? the hx's (14") should clear with no problem as many people have these wheels on their ef's.

If they are the HX assuming you're running stock brake/caliper, you'll have a 3/4 inch clearance or more.

you might have the lagers caliper from the integras or from the ef sedan ex. the larger calipers where made by nissin. so check if your caliper says that. its easy to tell the apart!

dont grind your caliper. just get some spacers.

hx and vx rims will clear stock calipers.

also, are you 100% sure it's the caliper that is grinding against the wheel? Have you taken the wheel off to see if there are marks either on he caliper or on the inside of the wheel itself? could it be your brake pads that are worn down past the squealers and are now grinding against the rotor?

sounds like you have the Da BIG brake upgrade which means you dont have to grind down the caliper just the mounting bracket for the caliper. easy easy fix. dosent hurt the calipers at all.

i had to grind down the caliper bracket as well when i mounted my HX's on my EJ8. solved the problem right away. but now i regret it and should have gone with some spacers instead. just my personal preference is all.

hum.... werid.
On my ef hb si and hx they cleared my stock brakes fine.
with ITR calipers on stock knuckle and 10.3" rotors I had get a spacer big time.... but if you look at the caliper size between dx & ITR it's like looking at a B vs H sereis... noticablly way bigger.

Interesting thread. I'm glad I saw this as I have recently been trying to hunt down a set of HX wheels for a stock 1991 Si hatchback that I picked up last week.

So am I reading this correctly? These will NOT fit on a stock Si, whether it be a CRX or Civic, without grinding or spacers?
