Default Mixing e85 and pump fuel

Well my new motor has jdm ctr pistons in it and compression is out of the roof.. We tried pulling timing on 91 oct. but it wasn't enough so we put straight e85 in it and it ran fine.. Tuned it, and no sign of ping.

My question is, is there any bad ideas of mixing 5 gallons of e85 and fill the rest of the tank with 87 or something?

I'm aware it won't be consistent but i was gonna tune like it's just straight pump. EX. 13-13.5 at WOT with the e85+pump mix.

What do you guys think? I know there's some of yall that mix but the reason why i want to is cuz the only e85 pump is about 45 minutes away and i have a 55 gallon drum i can fill up but i don't want it to deplete quickly.

If you're tuning your own car it shouldn't be an issue. I would keep two 55 gallon drums and keep it on E85. If this isn't an issue just try to keep the mixture as close as you can

I would keep it on e85... besides you can actually use the full potential of e85.. IMO putting in straight e85 will be a lot easier than trying to mix the two.. i never tried mixing gas and e85.. but i heard the consistency of mixing the two varies a lot...

you really live 45 mins from downtown?? i thought you live in yukon or mustang.. thats about a 15 min drive..

I've mixed E85 with non leaded / non oxygenated gasolines but with a flex fuel sensor. Little to no issues. But this is different being there is no flex fuel sensor

i live kinda by el reno in a way. and about 10-15 minutes from the highway so it takes awhile to get to downtown.. plus it's really inconvenient to travel that way.

anyways, does anybody run closed loop with e85? will factory o2 narrow band sensors read it?
