Default Which would you choose

I know I'm posting in wrong forum but had a quick question.here's the run down. Just had a baby and my wifes ford focus a pos and trans is going out. Well we getting a new car for her of course and it's between the 2010 fit sport or crv. Problem is she stubborn as he'll and won't learn to drive stick so it's gonna be auto.she wants crv but over are budget alought the k24 would be fun. Ouestion is anyone driven a fit?1.5l seems like it would be slow as hell. Should we go over budget and get crv or go with the fit? Like 5k difference. What would you choose in this situation??

I would get the fit? Unless you plan on more kids. Opt for a minivan or something
And why do you care if its slow? You're not gonna be racing with a baby on board are you/

Once you start doing some heavy lifting... I mean getting child with the seat in and out of the car you might realize that taller vehicle is a blessing. I don't have that much experience in this department, but my friends do - and they all complain about back braking work which this activity seems to be. CRV gets my vote for the hight and the larger/seemingly safer vehicle.

^^^ agreed crv. its a better investment in the long run too. more family oriented car. you can always build your fun car later down the road.

This is not EF related at all, but to answer your question, I have had two small kids with an Accord, a Fit and now an RDX (same size as CRV). In that order, they give you more space and it gets easier to put the kids in and out. With a car seat properly installed and rear facing (kids up to 12 months) in the Fit, we had to have the passenger side seat moved all the way up which meant my wife's knees would touch the dash. That is not safe, so we got the RDX.
