go to a good exhaust shop and have them weld in a new cat, the oem one from a dealer runs north of 1000

The hi flow cat is probably just a test pipe, and you will get a cel unless you do a bypass or something

Magnaflow makes high-flow cats. They probably really aren't that much better then OEM, but they're like $100. It's definately cheaper then most and, who knows, I might be wrong and they are a lot better.

Well magnaflow makes a universal one, but it has to be welded in place its like 80 bucks.
Or they make a direct fit one, which is what i bought for like 130. And it just bolts up in the stock location. It should bolt right up to your exhaust system, if you still have the OEM one on your car, the magnaflow cat should fit no problem!

just get a hi flow cat with the "bung" on it for your O2 sensor...the "smell" you are having usually means that a cat is working

Whatever you do stay the heck away from "Vibrant" hi-flow cats.

They are cheap and they suck... I had one clog and unburnt fuel collected in the chamber and detonated blowing a nice hole in the cat and getting bits of the the cat's guts caught up inside my exhaust. When you call them about the warrantee they pretty much tell you to F-off.
