What else would you have liked? ummm lets see Worst Reply ever!!!

I pulled the head last time had it decked 5 thousandths and had the machinist put a 12.00 dollar valve in as a replacement changed the all the gaskets and then drove it.... That pretty much puts us to the current day and time with the exception of again pulling the head off and setting it on the floor...

Is this better?

ok it is a 2000 honda civic Si with about 186,000 miles. B16A2 all stock with a cheap cold air intake... No boost, no header, no programmer (Used to have one until it got stolen..Bastards) intake manifold is just the stock one.. Nothing out of the norm that I can think of...I looked pretty close to the exhaust and intake manifold and didnt notice any damage... Also it is the exhaust valve and there is alot of carbon deposits on the valves and spark plug.. all other cylinders look clean and typical. top of all pistons look the same as well.

Did you get the new valve lapped? I'd consider buying an OEM valve to stick in there. Is the guide ok?

what exactly happened to the valve though? Did it melt, crack, or bend?

Very good question... and you said all the pistons look the same...hmmm- random but maybe a crack in the port of the head? slim chance I know but if it is the same valve and it has build up?? Did it smoke at all before you knew it was burnt? loose coolant at all..even just a lil?

I havent pulled the valve out of the head yet but I am pretty sure it melted. As for smoke it goes through some oil but I only smoked when you jumped on it. As for coolant smoke only when its cold as best as I can tell. Maybe I should have the head magna fluxed actually can they do that for an aluminum head?
