if you go turbo...what is it that you....n.....
When you goto turbo, i hear you yield better going with a custom setup, now, what do you need to get when you get a turbo set up, custom.... also what things should you do to your car, as in internals, and whatever else to get a everyday good level of boost for you car. What parts are recommended when going turbo?

Upgraded valve-train, resleeve cylinder walls, upgrade valves, seals, rods, piston rings, maybe lower CR.
Custom turbo setup is better because you could customize all of the components. Sorta like, would rather have a Compaq with set peramiters and parts from the factory, or would you rather have a Dell build to your specs?

I believe hes getting at the fact that sometimes a custom turbo can be a complete bitch and in come cases you may as well just get a kit that has been proven to do what it claims and have much less of a headache and just bolt it on.
built all my computers, im A+ and CCNA Im actually in my ccnp class right now. So what parts do you guys recomend on the actual turbo custom set up? Possble for dual-tubo's ae?

well he must be thinking Biturbo.. but on a such a low displacment/hp car that would be a total oddity/waste of time.. you'd need 2 really small turbos and a big imagination.
I'm doing the ... ... ... ill famed DSM manifold "custom" (read: ghetto) turbo on my car. heh... let ya know how it turns out in a month or so.
edit: i'm doing it this way because my woman will NOT let me spend 2000+ dollars on a turbokit for a 1000 dollar car.

so far i have about 500 invested in my turbo project.. and i have every major component except managment system (which will prolly be the ... ... ... vafc 'hack'). The only other thing i lack is plumbing which is a no brainer. Just waiting for winter to start... winter beater (88 Escort GT) has a limited life span.
I cant wait to hear this lil guy spool up. I'm not going for 696969hp .. i just want a lil bit o' boost.

The reason I went kit was for the piping.
I should have gone with custom since I dont even use the fmax fuel stuff.

Well, in my dorm room I have most of my setup together. I have an F-Max mani, HKS wastegate, T3/T4 turbo, and on the way an R33 core for the intercooler.

Give it up dude. You are no where near this level. If you want this answered well, go to F/I, but dont mention the dual turbo thing because you will be clowned....your not driving a Supra.

why are you kidding about the dual? DRT from Woodside, NY runs a low 9 second twin turbo civic
Its not the easiest way to go about going fast, but if those guys can ever dial in the chassis and get it tuned right then it will be among the elite FWD Honda drag car for sure.

Ever seen a 4th gen engine bay? Gotta replace the radiator and fans just to get one turbo in there. 2 is impossible without major modification to the chasis.

I've got a 92 lude SI h23 longblock sitting on an engine stand in my dorm room. Actually, I ordered it today, so it won't be here for another 2 weeks or so, but it will sit in my dorm room while it gets built up and worked on.
