i have a few questions regarding replacing inner/outer tie rods. i would just have tireman replace them for me but im paranoid and dont trust anyone let alone any shops. plus i would like to save some cash on labor and just do them myself and count threads so it will be good enough to drive to a shop and have someone align the front toe for me.

has anyone on here replaced tie rods themselves? any special work or tools needed? my tie rods are extremely bad and dangerous. when i give it any more than half throttle the car just goes wherever it wants on the road and they clunk every time i drive on bumpy roads. i just want to replace them before they break on me while driving.
