Default Is there a fuel pump reset button on Civics?

Is there a button I should be looking for to reset my fuel pump? I ran out of gas yesterday and today I filled up but it won't start.

Anyone know if there is a reset button for the fuel pump in a 1996 Honda Civic EX, please?

Thank you

Only thing I can think of off the top of my head is making sure it primes. Might have to click the ignition on and off a few times.

Pull an injector, see if fuel's getting there.

Pull an injector and then turn the key? Should I check my spark plugs to see if they're wet?

No... Honda's do not have a reset button... If you fuel pump is not priming when you turn the key it could be multiple things... check FAQ's (there are really good write ups for trouble shooting fuel issues...)

I belive Ford is one of the few car makers that has one... Usually located in the trunk on cars and under dash on trucks... it's a safety feature in case of an accident it cuts the fuel flow from tank to the engine...

There are numerous brands that have this i think even jaguar does and sterling (who is now gone) but yeah hondas dont have a fuel reset button, you could have taken out the fuel pump

Try to start it with it pulled and check for fuel. Could always check for strong spark as well.

Hey moron, some cars DO have a reset button for the fuel pump, so when the pump is running dry (ie empty tank) the pump shuts off the circuit to avoid burning up. Ok little boy? If you have any other questions about the basics let me know, lol.

Everyone else, thanks for the helpful replies. I'll start with the battery then. It clicks when I turn the key but no turning over.

Ha! I had a 92 Probe and my dude ran his Stealth into the day I was gonna scrap it. We spent the whole next day tinkering with the engine because we were gonna blow it and his dad finally came up to us and said "check for the fuel pump reset" Damn him, he was right. We dumped it for like the next hour and threw an M1 in it and after hitting the button again, turned on like a champ.

wow... didn't know a dead battery from a non-running fuel pump...

and his profile has "mechanic" as occupation...

Buddy get a life he asked a question.Ford do have them and they are a pita.
Save youself the trouble from remvoing an injector and just unbolt the fuel line that bolts onto your fuel rail .Watch it you don't loose your washers. Then turn your key ahead from there. You can tell if your fp is pumping gas or not. When it goes from not sucking to sucking the pump kinda makes a dullller noise. If thats a word. Not sure if they have a relay though?
