Hi there fellow HT members,
Thought you might find this info interesting.
Seems there is someone selling braces and trying to pass them off as ASR products when in fact, they are just cheap overseas copies.
JHP did a pretty nice write up on what to look for.

This info should be really helpful if you are thinking about buying a used brace from someone.
Just wanted to pass the info along. Hope it helps a few people here.

Wow never knew this was going on. Thanks for the heads up. I posted it on my facebook just cause I have friends who are trying to buy some. Ill make sure they keep and eye out for them too.
Actually it stiffened up the rear of my car versus getting a dinky tie bar why not get the real deal and if I wanted to eventually get a sway bar which I will Im ready to bolt it on thank you for pointing out I had no sway bar though that was cool
nice to know I got mines from JHPUSA... However, I remember someone on honda-tech who purchased some Asr and had to modify their civic frame because the bar didn't fit correctly. I guess they had the fake one
You will never drive your car hard enough to notice the effects it has with chassis bracing.
