seems like you have pretty good funds.. why not choose a newer body style, and drift IN style?

i thought about modding a vw body kit at one point...

but nah, i did pretty much all the work you see with princess auto parts and the junk yard... i put money into where i needed it the most, like the suspension, engine(when i can).. the car itself mostly has my time invested into it. i find the motors cheap. altho if i did have alot of money.. i would get the body fixed properly.

With an F20C swap, that car would've been the Honda version of the AE86.

no its not that bad actually... you hear more rattling from the traction bar hiem joints than the engine itself.. the new exhaust is quieter so it should be more pleasant on long trips.

not sure what the fans are from, they are for 24v application.. metal blades/housings. i got them from priness auto and they move tons of air @ 12v.. wouldnt want to get my fingers near them at 24v lol..

got the noise figured out in the engine, short story it was related to the balance shafts, so i left the belt off untill i can get a proper elimination kit..

because of this new finding, i'm going to have an extra crank balanced with some rods.. and probably swap it all in once i get everything together..

other than that... the car goes pretty good with this motor..

they actually make them for recreation/offroad vehicles mostly.. i couldnt find them in the size i wanted... so i bought some material from the fabric store and had them sown up... they work really nice.. this stuff is aparently nylon based and is water/weather proof. and f'n strong and flexible.. i figure it would be a good way to protect the suspension from the elements. and i can still pull them up once in the car to make height ajustments.

a 4'x4' sheet ran me about 30 bucks or somthing...
