Default Central locking problem 99si

First things first, i drive a uk spec 1999si with an aftermarlet alarm, sigma.

It all started when i removed the drivers side door panel to fix the window runners, when i came to put it back together i wasnt certain whether the central locking unit was pluged in or not, i pluged it in refitted the panel. From then on the central locking has refused to work. I now find that with the control unit pluged in it blows the fuse in the engine bay. With the unit unpluged it is fine.

Ive tried unplugging both actuators, fitting a new fuse, but it still blows.

Ive tried replacing the control unit with a unit from a honda accord, still no joy.

Im now resorting to testing each individual wire in the circuit, im no automotive electrician so this may take a while.

Am i missing something? Could pluging the control unit back in create a fault on the aftermarket alarm?

Any help would be mucho appreciato cause im stumped!

When does fuse blow, as soon as you use the door locks, as soon as you plug in the module, as soon as you turn on the ign. or when you use the alarms remote? 94
