Default Steering Problem

Hello HT

i feel my car steering is moving on some roads, its not shaking, just like its not smooth like it used to be, i check all the car's bushing and they are good.

what is the problem and how can i fix it?

my car is 1998 lx with FK lowering springs and 16" work wheels

NEW Tires, 205/45 Silverstone, already balanced, new rims too, its not shaking or vibrating at all, but i the steering i feel a gap in it

u mean like if u move the wheel a little it doesnt steer because if its that ur steering coupling is most likely worn out

im not sure if it takes a bushing or not but if it does change the bushing or change the coupling

check the steering rack bolts... mine started to feel similar to that here, the bolts came out my steering rack...

adjust the steering rack!! look at your rack, you'll see a 40mm nut and a 14mm bolt inside of it. loosen the 40mm nut then tighten inward the 14mm bolt. After bottoming out the 14mm bolt in undo it a half turn or so...take your car for a spin and check the steering, you may have to do this a couple of times until you are happy. This really worked for me. USE JACK STANDS!!
