The fast idle valve went bad on my 93 civic. I'm looking at the different OEM sites to buy a replacement, and I came across a big price difference on two websites. They list different part numbers, for the same part.
AF40A - for $91.21
AF40D - for $57.97

I tried to see if there was a difference between these parts, and I couldn't really find much information. Is there a reason to get the AF40A over the AF40D?

I'm fairly new to this stuff, so sorry if I termed something wrong!

 

i would just weld them close. done it tons of times. tho i was running boost and its mechanicly operated and bypasses the butterfly.

Are you sure it cant be cleaned and fixed? its a fairly common problem.

 

I would try one or two from a salvage yard before buying one new. Place around here practically gives stuff like that away.
