I have a set of upper mounts and am wondering, why is there an additional rubber bushing up inside the body of the mount? Do I need to leave that in there? It is the exact same one that is protruding out the top of the mount. These are going on a new set of Koni's.

So that black thing off to the side needs to to up inside the mount then? Which way should it go in?

 

It goes in the opposite way of the top one, so the rounded part that is facing the camera is facing down towards the shock
