Take one collar out and flip the spring, done. If they blow, put the collar back on and flip the spring back the right way and get a new one

I have the same problem, got mine 2 weeks ago, lowered it in the rear without messing with the perch. front i did the same, and have about an inch and a half gap, whereas the rear is slammed nice. I lowered the front perch afterwards an inch and i still got the same issue. I have been told to get EG forks and open it up a big to slide it down more or cut off the perch locking ring then lower the perch to the sleeve lock . Another route i have heard of is to go with aftermarket lowering forks.I have not decided which route to go however the EG forks seems more promising and available easier for me.I will update

Eg forks and ef forks are the same height. Eg forks where the shock slides in is a lot wider as the eg / dc shock bodies are fatter and talller.
What I would recommend you do; I've never had FF's so I don't know how many lock rings they have. But I would remove all but one, lower as much as it could go and get some extended top hats so you won't bottom out and you will hav more shock travel. I just did this with my brothers omni powers on his da. I got them for an eg a few years back, we put them on his car tonight and it wouldn't go low enough. So we did what I just said. Hope this helps!
