I just bought a 1991 integra LS 5spd with 148k and a blown head gasket...The car would run and drive with no problems other than the overheating. So the other night i replaced the head gasket and the car starts and runs decent but it has trouble with idle at a low rpm. I can control the idle with the throttle cable but that still doesnt solve my problem. once i loosen the throttle cable the car will idle for a quick min but as soon as i play with the throttle the car will slowly idle down till it dies soon after. Now this car never had this problem before i replaced the head gasket, Ive checked all my vacume lines and none are missing or crimped. The only thing that needs to be done besides the idle problem is to adjust the valves. Any and all insite into solving my problem is appretiated.

Also i ever so often get a check engine light but the light doesnt blink at all when i try to jump the plug under my glove box. HELP!!!!! PLEASE

wait are you trying to tell me that the throttle cable could be causing my car to not idle propperly? At this moment the only thing that is keeping the car at a 1k idle is the throttle cable now if the cable was not as tight it would just fall on its face
