d16a6
i want 2 put a d16a6 in my ef it came with a d15b2. I want 2 use the same wiring. So will my intake and exhaust manifold off my dual point bolt up 2 it? or also should i get a zc instead?
are you wanting to replace it because the d15b2 is broken? if you just need the car running then yes you can use the dpfi intake, exhaust, etc. however if you want the car to be as quick as the a6 was stock, you'll have to convert to mpfi.
ya it has a blown head gasket and i need my car back and im doin the swap myself. I plan on doin the conversion later i jus need 2 get by for now. and the local honda speed shop here sells all single cam motors for 495 bucks.do u prefer another single cam over the d16a6
wel l other single cams are better. but need more parts to make them work properly.
the d16a6 is probably the one you want if your going to keep all your stock parts.
but 495 is alot for a d16a6

since i assume you are in a hurry and need it running asap you might be stuck with buying that a6 for $500 :/ if i were you i would hold out as long as possible though and try to find one on craigslist for a LOT less. for $500 you could easily pick up a z6 longblock.

not really. pull head off, have machine shop check it, get head back a day later and put head back on with new head gasket and head bolts. then just run a thing or two of engine flush through the engine if you have a bad case of milkshake (or just use a bunch of brake cleaner with the pan dropped)
