are you wanting to replace it because the d15b2 is broken? if you just need the car running then yes you can use the dpfi intake, exhaust, etc. however if you want the car to be as quick as the a6 was stock, you'll have to convert to mpfi.

wel l other single cams are better. but need more parts to make them work properly.

the d16a6 is probably the one you want if your going to keep all your stock parts.

but 495 is alot for a d16a6

since i assume you are in a hurry and need it running asap you might be stuck with buying that a6 for $500 :/ if i were you i would hold out as long as possible though and try to find one on craigslist for a LOT less. for $500 you could easily pick up a z6 longblock.

500 for a a6 is too much. i think i just saw one on CL for 250

not really. pull head off, have machine shop check it, get head back a day later and put head back on with new head gasket and head bolts. then just run a thing or two of engine flush through the engine if you have a bad case of milkshake (or just use a bunch of brake cleaner with the pan dropped)

Is the head really warped bad?
You can probably use the 9d16a6 head gasket which is thicker and will seal better

That's alot for an a6 but they are kind of hard to find though.you can find a z6 or if lucky a y8 for that price. Or just get d15 vtec.I got my complete z6 for 250 on craigs.
