Default Wrx-killers, db8 great build thread. How fast can a street car go and look good!

Well first I would like to thank my boi "Glen INDO Kim" for hooking his boy up with a great car. Without him this would of never took place. Were do I start.... Humm. Well first I never had plans to go this far with the car. It was suppose to be a car just to drive and go to work in so I would not have to put miles on my car. Here are a couple of pics of it before

And then it happened. A light to light confrontation one night ended it all. Well just say I do not like to lose to those cars that sound like there mis-firing. So after talking to a good friend of my mine. Jacob at "Sir-Lerity motorsports" we had a plan. A lsv-t on nos. Well the nos was my plan I love to be different. While jacob was under way building the short block. A fully built ls bottom end stroked to a 2.0l with custom crank and custom rods, je pistons, gsr girddle, arp rod bolts, ge head studs. 01 itr head fully built, ported and polished, Sk2 valve train, sk2 cam gears yada yada. So the og motor I flipped to a good friend/member and had my new swap put in.

Things are going great at this point. Life is good, the economey has not went to pot yet. And I am 2 weeks from going turbo. I've been driving the car around putting miles on the motor. Pertty much living life and this happens.

Lets say remote start sucks when its not 100% made for a manual car. Dam clifford 50.5x. and a open window. I not going to go into details because thats a story in itself. So now the car is a driveway queen sitting there as I try to figure out what I want to do. So I say scrape it, let it sit. Its glamis season!

So it sat there for about 2 months till I got the dreaded phone call. Its my pops at 1 in tha morning asking me what the hell am I going to do with this pos car. I am taking it he is on a good one. So I said f- it. Let get sick with it. The day before I was with my lil bro getting his car tuned and he made some good power- Thanks "bisimoto" and I got to wondering. Dam I can't have the same hp as my lil bro.. and then I saw this

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=rYOpMhaIsfg

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=G1OcYkzoXSI

And after talking to Bisi at the dyno he said boy your crazey to try that on stock sleeves. And its not going to be reliable. And thats when it hits me. New bottom end. And now the build begins!

So the next day or should I say night its off to my friend Franky at "G-spot automotive"

I decided I allways wanted a jdm front and it was a good time to do. And my boi gave me a deal I could not refused. ggggggg spot!

And what do I get back. A perfect fitting frond end, But do to time and other work at the shop and the need for me to get the motor out the car since I sold the short block. Paint would have to wait.

So now The build is under way. Getting paused here and there for work and all. I should have the car finished by the end of summer to run at B.o.t.I. Here is a list of parts that I have purchased or had donated to the causes and parts for the build. Glad to see you're finally getting to work on this godamned thing Des. Let me know how your april schedule looks man and we can set up a date preferably a thursday or friday and we can knock out this alarm install after 2 years haha.

All my bad. I didn't want you touching the electrical system until I knew everything was 100 after the swap.

Nice man. I know what you mean when you talk about picking a color. I remember I wanted to do blue like a g35 blue but I ended up doing pyrite mica type of color from toyota.
